Weston Manor Wedding Photography

Weston Manor is at Weston on the Green near Oxford and is a traditional Georgian country manor house and can accommodate up to 100 people for a wedding meal in the imposing Baronial Hall. There are three licenced marriage rooms on the premises and it;s worth a look if you are considering a wedding in the area. Photography wise it’s quite an atmospheric old building with nice gardens although it can get quite dark inside in winter which means you need an experienced photographer to overcome the technical difficulties associated with photographing weddings at that time of year.

For 2010 Weston Manor is introducing garden wedding so you can get married outside in the appropriately named Knot Garden. It’s a fantastic idea, pretty common in the USA but not so much over here at the moment. I have photographed a few outdoor weddings and, provided the weather is kind (there’s always a catch, eh?) it’s a wonderfully informal way of celebrating your wedding.
