Great House Sonning Wedding Photography
Here are some images from Mari and Mark’s wedding at the Great House in Sonning. I’ve shot many weddings at the Great House over the years. It’s a great location – I love to take the bride and groom for a walk along the Thames just below the hotel. It’s a nice chance for them to have five or ten minutes to themselves and a great time to shoot some pictures of them together. It sounds obvious but it’s easy to forget that the day really is all about the bride and groom so I consider it an essential part of my wedding photography to shoot some relaxed photographs of the couple. In the nicest possible way, it’s sometimes a relief to get through the ceremony and after that part of the wedding day it’s great for the newly married couple to have a little time to themselves, Quite often when photographing this time of the wedding day I let the bride and groom just take a walk by themselves and shoot some pictures from a little distance away. This style of wedding photography, combined with a couple of portraits shot from closer in, is a nice way to provide some variety in the coverage.
