Engagement Photography – Michelle and Lewis

I met with Michelle and Lewis today for a pre-wedding session at Aldermaston Manor. We spent some time shooting relaxed pictures in and around the venue. They are getting married there in the summer and it was a good chance to catch up and chat about the wedding. Here’s a few of my favourite photographs from the shoot.

Engagement Photography Session – Michelle and Tom

Michelle and Tom are getting married in June at beautiful Buxted Park and we met today to shoot some pictures. Engagement shoots are always fun as it’s a chance to take our time and shoot some unusual pictures in a different style than on the wedding day.

A couple of miles from my studio is an old abandoned sawmill. It’s been derelict for a few years and I thought it would be a cool place to shoot some pictures. Thankfully Tom and Michelle didn’t look at me like I was mad when I suggested the idea. The buildings and undergrowth made an interesting backdrop, here’s a few favourites from the shoot.

Victoria and Richard – Pre Wedding Engagement Shoot

Victoria and Richard are getting married later this year and we met today to shoot some images before the wedding. It was a grim rainy afternoon so we stayed inside. Of course, studio photography is totally different to the photography on a typical wedding day but it’s always nice to photograph a bride and groom before the celebrations when we have a little more time to take some pictures.

The reception venue for V & R’s wedding is the beautiful Monkey Island in Bray. I know from today’s session it’s going to to be a nice relaxed wedding – I’m looking forward to it :)

Katherine and David’s pre-wedding shoot

Katherine and David are getting married in the summer. Today we met in the beautiful Oxfordshire village of Iffley for a relaxed pre-wedding engagement shoot. Chilly this time of year of course but still fun to be out and about shooting pictures instead of being confined to the studio.

We took a walk along the river by the lock and past the church where the wedding is going to take place, K & D are both from the area so it was nice to tie in these images with their home town so to speak. I always think the engagement photographs are a nice reminder of this pre-wedding period and wonderful to look back on when you are an old married couple :)

Victoria & Nick are going to get married.

I am shooting Victoria and Nick’s wedding next month and they dropped by today to run through the arrangements and to take some relaxed portraits. We decided to do these outside of the studio as it was a nice afternoon. It was great fun, like most people they weren’t sure about being photographed but as you can see they’re looking laid back and totally fine! The wedding is going to be great.

Erica and Simon are going to get married

I was at the Springs Hotel near Wallingford today to photograph an engagement session with Erica and Simon. They are getting married in August and the reception is at the Hotel. Sadly it was a rainy, rainy day so we were confined indoors but all was not lost as we got some cool shots in and around the hotel. S and E were great to work with, very relaxed. I am looking forward to the wedding.

Alistair & Laura are going to get married

In May I am going to photograph Laura and Alistair’s wedding in Streatley and today we met at the venue to shoot some engagement pictures. The wedding is taking place at St. Mary’s and then it’s a long trek of, oh, 5 yards or so to the Swan Hotel for the reception. Laura and Alistair were great to photograph, very relaxed and natural together. The wedding is going to be great fun (and hopefully less windy than it was today). Here’s a few favourites from the session.
