I love small weddings; they bring different challenges than when I shoot big weddings. I guess an average guest list is around a hundred people but today I was asked to shoot Sean and Yulia’s wedding in Bagshot which totalled six people :) I always think no matter where you get married, how grand or small the venue is, each wedding is special in it’s own way, it’s one of life’s landmarks and it’s never forgotten. Perhaps smaller events allow you to focus more on the ceremony and give you a little more time to reflect on the day, I don’t know (it’s fifteen years since I got married so I’ve kind of forgotten).
Sean is from Ontario and Yulia hails from Moscow and they had flown their parents in for the event so it was a small but perfectly formed international wedding!
The weather was beautiful, my first sunny wedding of ’08 and it was a joy to be out and about shooting pictures in the sunshine.
Here’s a few of my favourite images of the day. I am looking forward to getting together with the new Mr. and Mrs. and going through the rest of them :)
